Dear Patron, Thank you for considering American Legion Post #99 for your event.

We appreciate your interest in our Hall, Meeting Room, and other facilities. To ensure your request is processed smoothly, please complete our online form in its entirety. Incomplete submissions may delay or prevent approval. If you prefer, you can download the rental agreement using the link provided instead of filling out the online form. Should you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to either the Post Commander or the Public Events Officer. We look forward to the opportunity to host your event. [B] Legal & Safety Compliance: •No illegal activities or activities deemed illegal according to local city statutes are permitted. •The American Legion retains the right to close hall partitions; however, this does not prevent people from entering the area. •The renter may not lock or bar access to the hall area for any reason, as this could create a fire hazard and health concerns for other patrons and themselves. •No Smoking, Vaping or any type of inhalant allowed per city code. [C] Indemnification: •By signing this contract, the renter and participating members of benefit agree by holding he event and entering the facility that they indemnifies the American Legion, facility, its officers, directors, and employees and agrees not to hold the organization or any of its officers, organizations, patrons accountable for actions or occurrences during the rental of the hall. It is the responsibility of the renter to communicate this contract in its entirety to all attending and that they agree to all statements in this document’s terms and conditions as also indicated on the second page of this document. ALSO: As consideration of being allowed to participate in the event listed above we agree with the following: [C] I (we) hereby assume all of the risks of participating, viewing and/or volunteering in this event. I (we) realize that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities organizing or conducting this event and hereby release them from all possible liability. I (we) certify that all party members are at least 18 years old and any under 18 will be communicated in writing above. I (we) promise not to sue and agree to pay all court costs and all attorney fees that result from my action, civil or otherwise. Any filings must be in Baldwin county. [D] I (we) acknowledge that this Waiver and Release of Liability form will be used by the American Legion and any of its designated event holders, sponsors, and organizers of the event(s) if applicable, in which I (we) may participate and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said events. I (we) certify that no one in attendance will be under the influence of any illegal narcotic, illegal alcohol or other drug that may impair my understanding or judgment. [E] I (we) certify that we have adequate insurance to cover all medical claims, and any other damage or liability filings that may happen during the event and that I (we) may ultimately be found responsible for, during the above stated event. [F] In consideration of my being permitted to participate in this event, I (we) hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: Waive, Release and Discharge from any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to me during the event or during my traveling to and from this event, This shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. [G] I (we) hereby consent to receive medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and or illnesses during the event(s). I agree to pay for any and all costs related to medical response, treatment, and transport on my behalf. [H] I (we) agree to abide by the directions/rules written or given from the American Legion in accordance with the operating procedures and bylaws of the establishment. I (we) understand that our facility privileges may be removed without refund if I (we) are in violation of the rules set forth or acting/performing in an unsafe manner, or any manner disruptive to the operation of the event(s). [i] Termination of this agreement must be made 10 days in advance of events. Within the 10 days all or a portion of the advance payment may be kept covering any cost incurred in preparation for this event.
