Folk – Traditional and cultural music passed down through generations, including indigenous and regional styles. Jazz & Blues – Rooted in African American history, includes jazz, blues, soul, and gospel. Rock – Covers everything from early rock and roll to modern alternative, punk, and metal. Pop – Mainstream, commercial music with broad appeal, including dance-pop and synth-pop. Hip-Hop & Rap – Based on rhythm and spoken lyrics, often incorporating beats and sampling. Electronic – Encompasses EDM, house, techno, and other synthesized or computer-based music. Country – Includes traditional and modern country, bluegrass, and Americana. Reggae & Caribbean – Includes reggae, dancehall, and other island-based rhythms. World & Traditional – Music from different cultures that doesn’t fit into Western categories, including African, Asian, Middle Eastern, and Latin styles.
